The Ageless Elves

During the early days of the elves, they made sublime and beautiful things; planted immense forests, tended great gardens, and shared and prospered with the rest of Daear. For the last three millennia, the elves have turned this dedication to the creation of refined and deadly weapons, impenetrable fortresses, and majestic cities in the name of Fingorn.

During the waning of the empires of Humankind, the Elves were the most fair and gentle children of the Eidolon, the new gods. Coming from the sea and forests, these children built beautiful cities, made great works of art, and worked tirelessly to the cause of peace. They brokered treaties between belligerents and offered succor to all who came by the command of their chief goddess, Lauriel of Light. With her husband Fingorn the Craftsman at her right hand, She ruled justly and was the only Eidolon whose entire pantheon was respected by the Domara, the old gods, of humankind.

Despite this, the wars between the Domara and Eidolon raged across elven lands, and dire plans were laid against them. In a Great Betrayal that signaled the end of the world of antiquity, Lauriel was assassinated by an unhallowed pact between several Eidolon and Domara. The grief of Fingorn was echoed by his people, and the mourning of the Slain Queen lasted a century
