Backup Site
Camp Crabtree, Umstead Park
In case of issues with scheduling or reconstruction efforts at Camp Lapihio that prevent using it for a given event, our first choice for backup is Camp Crabtree. The offerings are similar to Lapihio, but it fits fewer people (about 58-60).

Housing
Camp Lapihio offers Primitive Camping cabins. These cabins contain three or four beds depending on floorplan, but do not have power.
There are four Lodges that contain no beds, have a fireplace, and a grill grating. The lodges also do not have power.
Tent, RV, and Trailer camping are not allowed on the site by Park Policy.
There are a limited number of bed spaces with power for those that have a medical need, which are to be assigned on a first-purchased-ticket first-served basis.
