The Nomadic Lizardfolk
Before time was counted in years and while peace still reigned, Sedhecit Rex desired of his human children a more reptilian nature, to better serve as his representatives in the world. He emerged as one of the Eidolon, the new gods, and sought to push his fledgling Lizardfolk closer to his own semblance, and thus closer to accessing the power of the pillars.
The Lizardfolk have always lived a nomadic life on the backs of gargantuan turtles spanning the size of cities - and indeed they carry sprawling settlements with individually nurtured ecologies on their shells. The Lizardfolk live adrift like their elders, for dragons require the ocean as their domain. There is only one landmass they lay any claim to, a chain of islands which holds their most sacred land. Anmapana, the largest of the islands in the chain, was first formed of rock and reef like any other. Yet when the gargantuan turtles came to their end of life over the millennia, they chose the islands’ foundation as their final destination. Now, Anmapana’s top crust is made of layers of humongous shells cemented together by the ocean, barnacles, weather, and time.
